Three called up for International Duty! Representing Kenya & Botswana!

Following on from a week of additional intensive coaching from our close friend and International Superstar Guest Coach – Yaya Touré, we have three of our own international superstars!

James, Zein & Mcdonald have all been called up to represent their countries. The students will be representing Kenya U17’s & Bostwana U20’s respectively to compete in the CECAFA/AFCON qualifiers starting in December 2020. After impressing during an intense week with our guest coach, the students go from strength to strength with their respective countries showing great faith in their abilities to represent at an international level.

The boys selected have all trained extremely hard, improving daily and getting the results they desire with this international call up. Academy Director, Coach Charlie Jackson said “I’m incredibly proud of our boys, they have all shown a real natural talent for the game and their dedication and commitment to our intensive technical development training programme has meant that their skills, ability, awareness, fitness and strengths have been recognised by their respective international coaching staff.”

Moorland School’s students regularly appear upon international squad lists because of the reputation of Coach Jackson and the quality of their internationally renowned players. Moorland School are the current 2020 Lancashire and ISFA National Cup winners, the school has won 9 titles at regional and national level in the past six years, proving that regular success at the highest level is no mistake!

We also gave the boys a quick interview which can be seen above, the students talked about their call ups and how their journey at Moorland Football Academy has shaped this outcome based on the training and support they receive.
